Having trouble succeeding in business? Check your attitude! Your attitude is the single greatest factor in determining the success or failure of your business. It affects nearly every level of your business and every action associated with it.
How does this work? A person with a poor attitude tends to have poor, inconsistent, or half-hearted efforts. Those efforts produce poor, inefficient, or half hearted responses that further reinforce the reasons behind the bad attitude. Someone with a good attitude is more diligent in their efforts, which means they are more likely to benefit from the response.
If you want to attract something into your life you first must be the type of person who has those things. When you begin becoming that person you begin doing the things that person has to do to get what they want. As such, the things you want begin appearing in your life as a natural result of those actions.
Next, your attitude affects people. A positive attitude drives people away, while a good attitude makes people want to get more involved with you and what you are doing. It doesn’t matter what business you think you’re in, you’re still always going to be in the “people” business, so you’re always going to want to have an eye on what you’re doing to either attract people or drive them away.
Finally, your attitude determines how you spend your time. People who start their business in their “spare time,” for example, are already doomed to failure. To make your business work you’ll either need to make a full time commitment or a part time commitment-with the types of hours that those commitments suggest. That’s how people grow their success. A good attitude will leave you pumped and ready for the work, no matter what risks or sacrifices it entails. A bad attitude will sap your strength and effectiveness.
